For all pups who can't attend all the conventions  and are worried about the impending MWS (missy withdrawal syndrome), #Merpupspack on talkcity will be hosting "open mic night" for all pups. Friday nights, (TBA) beginning at 7pm (EST) bardic-ly inclined pups will be sharing their talent with us in a real time forum (a chat room). This will be a moderated event and guests are welcome along with the bards.

For all bards wishing to participate, both Xena related and non-related poetry/short stories will be received with thunderous applause and an instant ego boost.

If you want to be a featured performer you can go about it one of two ways:
 

1) email your submission to me and I will take care of the rest. *if you choose this method I will need your work as soon as possible so I can be sure to have all the info I need. I will make no changes to your work, so spelling and grammar are your department.

2) bring your work to the event and type away. You will have the floor throughout the delivery of your work and there will be no interruptions. * if you plan on using this method, please email me with your name and the title of your work so I can schedule when you will be up and get an estimate of how many bards will be performing. Please do this as soon as possible.

For both methods please include in your email how you would like any comments on your work delivered. If you do not wish to receive any comments other than applause please note this. Otherwise I need to know if you would like the comments made to the entire channel, privately to you through email, or both.

That about covers it. We plan on making this a regular event if all goes well and there is a demonstrated interest. In the future we hope to allow folks to get together to offer helpful advice and discuss writing techniques.

For all bards:
Please keep in mind that this is an open forum and the nature of the work is up to you, but please use good judgement on your selections. Also exactly what constitutes a short story is up for debate, so once again use your own judgement here. For those sending their work to me, please feel free to send as many as you like, but please indicate the order in which you would like them read, in case we run out of time.

All pups are welcome to come and participate in the event and you will have the opportunity to chat with other pups.
