1 cup butter, salted | 2 cups sugar | |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract | 1/2 teaspoon salt | |
4 large eggs, slightly beaten | 1 cup all-purpose flour | |
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa (regular or dutch is OK) | 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional) | |
8 ounce semi-sweet chocolate bar, coarsely chopped, OR 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips | ||
OPTIONAL GLAZE | ||
1/3 cup white chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips | 2 teaspoons oil | |
Heat oven to 350F. Grease 13x9 inch pan In medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add
sugar and salt; blend well. Remove from heat. Add vanilla
and eggs; blend well. Mix together flour and cocoa. Stir
into butter mixture. Fold in chocolate and the nuts if
using. Pour into greased pan. |
